Social Media Policy

The City of Cripple Creek (COCC) believes that through its web pages and social media it can add value by helping people create or improve community awareness, stay informed on local government happenings, find employment, and better understand the COCC and its mission. COCC provides this content as a service and, while COCC will aim to keep all information timely and accurate, this service is continually under development.

Content posted on any COCC social media page is intended to provide general information concerning a variety of city job postings, city closures, city employee and council news, and other topics in simple and straightforward language, and may not address the facts and circumstances of any particular situation. While we hope the information provided is useful, posts and comments by the COCC or its authorized users are not intended, and may not be relied upon, as government advice. In addition, please note that comments expressed on COCC's social media pages do not reflect the opinions and position of the COCC, are not binding on the COCC, and do not replace, alter, or supersede state or federal laws.

By posting to COCC's social media pages, you acknowledge that you, and not the COCC, are responsible for any and all content that you post, including any content that may be posted in violation of the COCC's policies or this disclaimer.
