2026 Cripple Creek Firefighter Academy
Due to overwhelming interest, we are no longer accepting applications for our 2026 Firefighter Academy.
We anticipate conducting another class early next year.
Dates
- January 19, 2026 – June 20, 2026
- January 19, 2026 - Orientation
- Scheduled for Wednesday evenings and Saturdays with weekly independent study required.
Cost
- Fire Department Affiliated: $ 500.00
- Non-Affiliated: $ 600.00
Preparation for Colorado Certification Examinations for Firefighter 1and Hazardous Materials Operations
Class size is limited, if too many applications are received, the Fire Department will choose which candidates participate in the class.
Requirements
- 2026 Firefighter Academy Application
- Required Firefighter Academy Medical Clearance
- Valid Firefighter Candidate Physical Agility Test (CPAT) through June 2025 (only required if interested in future employment)
