Job Duties Include: Under administrative direction, the City Clerk is a generalist and working leader that expertly performs duties which may be comprised of the following: administration of City Council business, records management, liquor licensing, business licensing, and municipal elections. The incumbent in this position must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, including effective communication with employees, other departments, officials, and the public.
Requirements include: The qualified applicant will hold a Bachelor’s degree in public administration or a related field from an accredited college or university, hold Certified Municipal Clerk status, and have five years of experience in government, preferably as a Town/City Clerk; an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be substituted for listed requirements. Other requirements: must possess or obtain a Notary Public Commission within six months of hire; must possess a valid Colorado Driver’s License or obtain one within 30 days of hire; and must be at least 21 years old. Main Street Coordinator

Job Duties Include: This position acts within the downtown revitalization program in conjunction with historic preservation, planning, and events to provide an integral foundation for downtown economic development. The Coordinator will also be responsible for the development, execution, and documentation of the downtown program as well as being the principal on-site staff responsible for managing program activities locally as well as representing the community regionally and nationally as appropriate.
Requirements include: A high school diploma is required with some college and municipal experience preferred. The incumbent in this position must have the ability to work with multiple stakeholders and foster positive relationships between different organizations/entities and the public, the ability to prioritize tasks, and must possess excellent time management, problem prevention, and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate must have a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and be self-motivated and creative. The successful candidate must also have the ability to attend meetings outside of normal business hours as needed and will be required to work weekends and holidays as needed throughout the year. Treatment Plant Operator (Level I-III)
Full-Time, full benefits offered. Hiring range $46,460-$66,438 yr., DOE.
Pay will correspond with years of experience and certification level as outlined below in which the applicant qualifies. The Operator performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled technical and maintenance tasks in the operation, maintenance and repair of the water and wastewater treatment facilities. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED; must possess a valid Colorado Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire; must pass a background check and pre-employment drug test; and must provide an acceptable driving record from any state in which a license has been held within the previous three years.

Police Dispatcher

Job Duties Include: Performs work in receiving and prioritizing emergency and other calls for service for law enforcement, fire, emergency and related services and informs and dispatches response units; provides emergency medical instructions to the public per protocols; prepares and maintains a variety of records and serves as receptionist. Must be able to: monitor and answer multi-channel radios and monitor additional frequencies for adjacent jurisdictions; maintain accurate and current awareness of the status and location of all personnel and equipment; operate computer terminals to enter, query, modify and/or delete data from NCIC/CCIC and CAD systems; maintain confidentiality; monitor building surveillance equipment. Must also be able to perform well in high stress situations, work within a team environment, assist with various clerical duties and assist the public. Shift work required for 24/7 emergency operations.

Police Officer Recruit

Under immediate supervision, actively participates in the P.O.S.T. certified police training academy; performs all related learning and testing activities. Police Recruits will be sponsored by the City while attending the law enforcement academy, including academy tuition and an hourly pay rate of the salary above, which is $21.27/hour. Recruits must successfully complete the Academy and be Colorado POST certified prior to starting in the department’s Field Training and Evaluation Program (FTEP).
